This is a community site aimed at helping folks discover and express art. By using this site, you agree to practice kindness, fairness and to share positively with the community.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Scentsorter, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. These terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and contributors.

2. What Scentsorter is

Scentsorter is a fragrance curation and discovery community. Members explore fragrances, write reviews, build pairings, and collect scents that connect to their lived experiences. It is not an official retailer or authenticator and makes no guarantees about the accuracy of any listing, review, or pairing.

3. Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for all activity on your account. Keep your password secure. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Content you contribute

You may contribute reviews, ratings, pairings, comments, and photos. By contributing content you confirm that:

• The information is accurate to the best of your knowledge
• You own any photos you upload, or hold a valid right to use and share them
• Your content does not infringe any third party's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights

Scentsorter reserves the right to edit, moderate, or remove any contributed content without notice.

5. Photo license grant

By uploading a photo to Scentsorter, you grant Scentsorter a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute that photo in connection with the site and its community purposes. You retain ownership of your photos. This license ends if you request removal of the photo and we remove it.

6. Community guidelines and prohibited content

Scentsorter is a shared, public space. To keep it welcoming and safe, you may not post, upload, or share:

• NSFW or sexually explicit material — nudity, sexual content, or explicit imagery in photos, avatars, usernames, reviews, or comments, regardless of context
• Other people's personal or identifying information without their consent — full names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, financial details, or any other information that could be used to locate, identify, or contact a private individual (no doxxing)
• Your own sensitive personal information in public areas of the site (we can't guarantee its removal from caches, backups, or other users' copies once posted)
• Illegal content or activity — this includes content that promotes or facilitates illegal drug sales, counterfeit goods, fraud, child sexual abuse material, or any other unlawful conduct
• Dangerous content — instructions or encouragement for self-harm, harm to others, or unsafe/harmful misuse of fragrance ingredients or other products
• Harassment, threats, or hate speech directed at any individual or group
• Impersonation, spam, or automated/bot activity that misrepresents who is posting or floods the community with unwanted content

Anything that would be illegal, dangerous, or clearly harmful to post is prohibited even if not explicitly listed above. Violating content will be removed on discovery or report, and accounts responsible may be suspended or terminated without notice.

7. Privacy and personal information

If any content on Scentsorter identifies you, or otherwise reveals your personal information, without your consent, contact the site administrator. We will remove it promptly, no proof of identity required — your word is enough. This applies to anyone, not just registered users.

8. Availability and changes

Scentsorter is provided as-is. We make no guarantees about uptime, data accuracy, or continued availability of any feature. We may change, suspend, or discontinue the site or any part of it at any time.

9. Limitation of liability

Scentsorter is a community platform. Reviews, ratings, and pairings are contributed by users and are not verified by us. We make no guarantees about product availability, pricing, or any other detail. We are not liable for any loss, inconvenience, damage, or harm arising from use of this site or reliance on its contents.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scentsorter's total liability for any claim arising from use of the site is limited to zero dollars ($0). This site is a free community service.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the jurisdiction where Scentsorter is registered.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. For significant changes, we will make a reasonable effort to notify registered users.
